History is repeating itself! Don't miss out!
A few years back, Microsoft rocked the reporting market with SQL Server Reporting Services. True, it took a few versions to settle down and it didn’t have all the features of the established report writing tools, but hey, it was free. Well, it's happening again with business intelligence. It's been a year since Power BI was launched and we’ve been keeping a close eye on it. True, it is still in its youth but it is FREE for limited use and $10 /month per user for the full application.
What is Power BI?
Power BI is a suite of business analytics tool designed to analyse data and share insights. Its dashboards provide a 360-degree view for business users
with their most important metrics in one place, updated in real time and available on all of their devices. With one click, users can explore the data behind their dashboard using intuitive tools that make finding answers easy. Creating a dashboard is simple, thanks to our connectors and to popular legal applications such as ADERANT, Elite Enterprise, Elite 3e and Lexis Nexis. Our solution comes complete with pre-built dashboards crafted by experts that help you get up and running quickly. Finally, you can access your data and reports from anywhere with the Power BI Mobile apps, which update automatically with any changes to your data.
How does it help me?
If you are a data analyst delivering reporting and analytics to your organisation, Power BI lets you be productive and creative with what you build. Power BI Desktop is a feature-rich data mashup and report
authoring tool. It combines data from disparate databases, files, and web services with visual tools that help you understand and fix data quality and formatting issues automatically. With over 20 built-in visuals and a vibrant community of custom visualisations, create stunning reports that communicate your message effectively. With the Power BI service, publish reports securely to your organisation and set-up automatic data refresh so everyone has the latest information.
Legal market content pack
Already available with POWER BI are a number of content packs for popular mainstream applications such as Salesforce for CRM, QuickBooks and Xero for accounting. A content pack is a solution to allow organisation’s users to access content like dash
boards, reports and data-sets. Through a gallery of content packs, users can choose the content and deploy it quickly in their own portal.
ITFS are delighted to launch our set of content packs for the business of law. These packs are currently available for users of ADERANT, ELITE Enterprise, Elite 3e and LexisNexis, with other popular solutions such as Peppermint platform in the pipeline for release later this year.
